Elena Dawson is a womenswear and menswear clothing/shoe-maker.
Born in London, Elena studied Art and Fashion Design before co-founding Paul Harnden Clothiers in 2000, the clothing division of Paul Harnden Shoemakers. She was an instrumental part of the design, concept, and business until 2006, when she decided to establish an independent clothing and shoe label.

Movement and inertia are often considered a natural pair. Yet this union is subject to change. The aesthetic vision at the core of "Obstruction Archive" is to explore the middle ground between the flow of becoming and the incursion of a static materiality.
Handmade in England, using a diverse range of materials from fine British mohair suiting to crocodile leather, twine and rubber. Elena’s aesthetic vision centres on the interstitial stage of production, focusing especially on the displacement of established orders of design.
